Connecting QuickBooks.

Connect from Company settings → Connections. The connection is per company and owner-only, and it is read-only — nothing is ever written back to your books.

What is read

Profit and loss detail Becomes your spend history. Pulled from Spend history → Sync, then reviewed in the import screen before anything is committed to your model.
Unpaid bills Become commitment drafts on the Commitments tab. You confirm each one; nothing is added automatically.

What unpaid bills do not include

QuickBooks raises a bill when an invoice arrives. A commitment begins when you sign. So the import finds obligations that have already been invoiced and misses everything signed and not yet billed — which is often the long-dated purchase order you most wanted to track.

Treat the import as a floor on what you owe, and add signed commitments by hand or by promoting a planned cost. The app repeats this on every import for the same reason.

Reconnecting

Intuit requires reauthorisation periodically. Waterline keeps the connection alive on a schedule and tells you on the Connections page when it needs your attention.
